I remember asking for ballet flats as a young kid, maybe 4 or 5, and my mom thought they were too grown up, so I can’t imagine asking for a pair or wedges or pumps at that age. Even for high school events, my mom was still picky about heel heights and styles. I’m not a mother yet but now I can understand where she was coming from. Little girls have about 10, maybe 12 years tops to be little girls, so why parents allow their daughters to dress like grown women is beyond me. They have plenty of time to wear heels and adult styles when they become ADULTS. What’s the rush? Shine on yahoo! wrote a tiny article on the matter. [The comments are the interesting/funny part, in my opinion.] What’s your take on this trend?
