  1. Wow, amazing. I was feeling a sense of guilt for not really giving a damn about Vegas, or about this recent attack at the church in Texas. This is a great, relatable post for another black person.
    I have hopes for us too. If you feel this insensitivity towards their death like my family and I do, that means we are growing as black people, gaining strength and thinking about our own which is something we have been struggling to do.

    1. Exactly. Isn’t it crazy how we’ve been conditioned to take on the weight of all people’s problems? I’m glad to hear this resonated with you as it did with me. We have always been the scapegoat. We’ve always been there for everyone and everything while we still get the short end. I’m not saying it’s ok, but why don’t we worry about ourselves-put our people first like everyone else?
