7 Laws of Peaceful Living
via ThinkGrowProsper
1. Make peace with your past so that it doesn’t spoil your present.
2. What others think of you is none of your business.
3. Time heals almost everything.
4. No one is responsible for your happiness except you.
5. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
6. Stop overthinking. It’s ok to not know all the answers.
7. Smile. You don’t own all the problems in the world.

I really like #1 and #2…but I’M IN LOVE with #5!!!! Not in big fan of “competing” in that aspect, because that’s what it is on the low. It leads to JUDGING others based off of your views and standards. Ironically, I’ve been accused of being judgmental. I would wonder to myself, “how could that be possible when I consider myself anti-competition, anti-comparison?”
(Just to clarify, I’m talking people within my ethnic group. Now when it comes to those of OTHER ethnic groups, well that’s a different story…)
A lot of the people who have called me judgmental were known to have their own personal insecurities (self-esteem issues) and/or have been accused of being judgmental THEMSELVES! Funny ain’t it?!
Thank you for the list Kelley!! 😉 Didn’t mean to write a post of my own lol wanted to express myself.

It’s no problem! I always appreciate your engagement.
I understand what you mean, but I think it’s human nature to judge and it’s not always a bad thing. Buuuuuuuuut, comparison? Completely useless.
